Growing businesses accumulate systems. A CRM the sales team likes, finance software the accountant insists on, an order management tool from three years ago, a warehouse system that only runs on one machine. Each one is fine. The cost is in the gaps between them — the order retyped into two systems, the invoice reconciled by hand, the customer record that is right in one place and stale in another.

Integration work is how that cost gets removed, and it is mostly not about code. It starts with mapping what actually happens when an order arrives, a quote is approved or a customer changes their details: who touches it, which system is the source of truth, and where the process quietly depends on someone remembering to do something. Only then is it worth deciding what to automate.

Then we build it to survive contact with reality: authenticated API integrations with retries and idempotency so a failed call does not create a duplicate order, webhook handling for events, scheduled syncs where an API does not exist, and a clear audit trail so a disagreement between two systems can be settled by looking rather than guessing. Where a platform has no API at all, we say so and find a workable route instead of pretending.

Can you integrate with our industry-specific software?

Usually. If it exposes an API or supports file-based exchange we can connect it, and we have worked across CRM, ERP, order management, finance and logistics platforms. We check feasibility during discovery and tell you plainly if a system is a dead end — better to know before you have paid for a build.

Should we integrate or replace our systems?

Integrate first, almost always. Replacing a platform your team knows is expensive, disruptive and risky, and the pain is usually in the handoffs rather than the tools. Once the systems talk to each other you can see clearly whether a replacement is still worth it — often it is not.

How do you stop duplicate records and half-finished syncs?

Idempotent operations, so replaying a call cannot create a second order; a defined source of truth per data type, so conflicts have a rule rather than a coin toss; queues with dead-letter handling so bad records park safely; and an audit trail for every sync so a disagreement can be traced.

What does integration work cost?

A single well-defined integration typically starts around £6,000; a multi-system programme with orchestration and reporting costs more. Discovery is quoted separately and small, because it is what makes the rest of the estimate real. Scope and price are fixed in writing before the build.

Will this survive when a vendor changes their API?

That is designed for: integrations are isolated behind our own interfaces so a vendor change touches one place, versioned endpoints are pinned where the platform supports it, and monitoring catches a breaking change immediately. Support plans cover keeping up with vendor changes if you want that off your plate.
