Software for ecommerce & retail

Off-the-shelf ecommerce gets you selling fast, but growing retailers hit its limits — awkward product logic, per-sale fees, and stock that lives in a separate system. We build stores and the tooling around them so the whole operation runs as one.

The problem

What usually gets in the way

  • Template stores that can’t handle your product or pricing logic
  • Transaction fees eating into margin as you scale
  • Stock and orders managed in a spreadsheet separate from the store
  • Slow storefronts losing sales on mobile
What we build

How we'd help

  • Custom or Shopify storefronts tailored to how you sell
  • Stock and order tools connected to the shop
  • Payment and fulfilment integrations
  • Fast, high-converting product and checkout pages
How it works

Working with ecommerce & retail businesses

The honest first question for any retailer is platform: Shopify, WooCommerce or custom? For most, Shopify is the right answer and we'll say so — the interesting work is then a theme built properly for speed and conversion, plus apps or integrations for whatever your operation needs that the ecosystem doesn't cover. Custom storefronts earn their cost when your product logic genuinely doesn't fit: configurators, B2B pricing tiers, made-to-order workflows, or fee structures that punish your volume.

The bigger wins for growing retailers are usually behind the storefront. Stock living in a spreadsheet that doesn't talk to the shop causes oversells and dead listings; orders being retyped into a courier portal burns an hour a day. Connecting the store to stock, fulfilment and accounting — so an order flows through without anyone touching it — is often worth more than any redesign.

And conversion is compounding: a faster product page, a checkout with one less step, and honest delivery information each nudge the rate upward. On meaningful traffic, a fraction of a percent is real money every month, which is why we treat storefront performance as an engineering problem, not a design afterthought.

FAQs

Common questions

Shopify or custom — which should we choose?
Shopify, unless your product logic genuinely doesn't fit it. We build both, so the recommendation isn't self-serving: most retailers get to market faster and cheaper on Shopify with a well-built theme, and custom becomes right when platform fees or constraints measurably cost you.
Can you connect our store to our stock system and courier?
Yes — syncing stock between the store and your inventory or EPOS, pushing orders to couriers, and posting sales into Xero or QuickBooks are the most common integration jobs we do for retailers. The goal is an order flowing end-to-end untouched.
Why is our store slow, and does it matter?
It matters commercially: slow product pages lose mobile buyers and search rankings together. Usual culprits are oversized images, app bloat and heavy themes — all fixable. A performance audit of an existing store is a cheap first engagement that pays for itself.
